Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I): It’s Not New, Just Clarified!
From the moment we enter a room, judgment takes place, and the judgment goes even further when we communicate with others. Judgment of others can be perceived as negative but if we are honest, it’s human nature or a matter of life. The concern is not just the judgment, the concern is from where we initially derived our points of view and how it has influenced us. Getting in touch with your own biases is necessary to remove barriers which may have impacted our thoughts, words, actions, and habits. Remember, if we want people to have an open mind and give individuals an honest chance of making a good first impression, we must identify and remove barriers hindering acceptance of others.
