2021 CDM, CFPP Spotlight Award

Congratulations to Milton L. McGowian, MBA, CDM, CFPP, FMP, MCP!

Milton L. McGowian, MBA, CDM, CFPP, FMP, MCP is a native Floridian, where he began his career at the North Florida Retirement Village in Gainesville. While there, he worked as a sous chef, assistant director, and director of culinary operations over a span of 14 years. Milton began working as the Director of Dining Services at Sharon Towers in Charlotte, NC in January 2019, and became a CDM, CFPP in 2020.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Milton had to in the way the facility provided service to both residents and staff. He rose to the challenge and was able to accomplish this while reducing overtime for his department to almost zero. Milton received his BS in Business Administration in 2018 (with Cum Laude honors), his Master of Business Administration in 2019, and he is currently a doctoral candidate at the school of business at Liberty University.
